As I mentioned I’m a writer and a photographer, but I’m also a curious person. When I travel locally or across country, I’am constantly asking my wife in the passenger seat, “What did that road sign say?” or “Why is that statue or monument there?”

Lately, I have been packing my camera and when I see such historic markers or statues or plaques or monuments, I stop and take a picture of it and try to track down more information about what I just photographed. Now I a trove of photos. What to do with them? Well, I want to share them with my family and friends and people who have also wondered what those historic markers say as we wiz by them in our cars.

So, I am starting a newsletter On the Road to History (funny, it was not my best subject in school.)

When you sign up for my bi-monthly newsletter, On the Road to History, which highlights the stories behind historic road signs and statues, I will send you a free copy of my book: ABC Guide to the Everglades.

Thank you for signing up.
